Set in the spectacular natural beauty of Kenya's Masai Mara National Reserve, the Mara Ngenche Safari Camp enjoys a superb location at the confluence of two rivers, the Mara and the Talek. The junction of the rivers creates a natural pool much loved by wallowing hippos and crocodiles. The camp's location gives you a fantastic view of the pool and you'll be able to watch big game and other wildlife from your tent's private boma. The camp is set in lush, riverbank bush and facilities there combine the raw mystique of the African wilderness with truly exceptional levels of comfort and luxury.
This idyllic location in the African bush is surrounded by an astonishing variety of big game and other wildlife. This location, coupled with the relaxed luxury of the camp, make Mara Ngenche an excellent choice for a romantic break. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, or you just want to share an amazing experience, you'll love the intense romance of this safari camp. The camp also offers a special wedding deal which includes dinner for two with a bottle of wine, a one-hour couple's massage and breakfast in bed with sparkling wine.
You won't be roughing it staying at one of Mara Ngenche's 10 tents. The tents have carpeted floors, fully equipped bathrooms, electricity and spacious verandahs and a private grasses ‘garden’ area complete with private plunge pools. The decor combines traditional African styling and modern amenities and each tent is in its own private enclosure while some feature four poster king-size beds and twin beds. Free WIFI access is available in the camp's lounge and bar area.
You'll want to take full advantage of the wonderful wildlife spotting opportunities in the Masai Mara Reserve and staff at the camp help you to do this by providing guided game drives. You even go on a balloon flight to get a superb bird's eye view of the abundant wildlife. The camp can also arrange lectures on the fascinating way of life and culture of the local Masai people.
All meals are provided by the camp and prepared by their professional chefs and catering staff. You can expect a high standard of cuisine which combines local and international dishes, and vegetarian options are always available. Couples can also request “private dining” within their own boma in front of their tents.
