There are 10 glorious bedrooms in the main castle and additional rooms in cottages on site. We seat a maximum of 40 for a ceremony and for a sit down meal but can fill the house with up to 80 guests to celebrate. Or put up a marquee or tipi in the grounds and bring your own caterers for a larger affair.

When you take exclusive use, you get the castle exclusively to yourself.

Package Includes

The starting package includes the castle and grounds for up to 20 adults in 10 bedrooms with breakfast and dinner. We can build from there with extras including the bar, wine, champagne, flowers, music, dancing, canapes ... your imagination is the limit.

Package Policies

To confirm a booking we require a 20% non-refundable date holding & administration charge together with a letter of confirmation. We strongly recommend function cancellation insurance. The balance due for exclusive use is payable 30 days prior to the event at which time this sum becomes non refundable also. We will require confirmation of final numbers for the event, which will be the minimum number charged for, with payment of the final balance. Exclusive use bookings are strictly non transferable. Settlement of bar bills and payment for additional food and any other extras is due on departure. We are unable to offer credit facilities beyond the date of departure. Extras will include any repair or replacement costs resulting from damage to, or loss of, castle property, fixtures and fittings whether intentional or accidental.

The client who has confirmed the original booking will be deemed responsible for all outstanding accounts for food, accommodation, drinks and extras incurred by their guests.

We have a function wine list and only permit clients to provide their own wine & champagne by prior arrangement for which there will be a corkage fee for each bottle consumed.

Our licence requires us to close the bar at midnight for non-residents & we ask that you ensure your guests have made arrangements in advance for transport home as local taxis are rarely bookable after midnight.

We cannot permit fireworks or the launch of Chinese lanterns as they are inappropriate for our rural location. Confetti must be rice paper or flower petals only and we request it be thrown outside only. Any use of non biodegradable confetti will incur a clear up charge of £500.

The Dining Room, our main function space, is approx 40ft long x 20ft wide. It is best suited to live acoustic music. Discos are rarely a success. To avoid disappointment please ensure that you bring these specifications to the attention of any band or performer you contact. Please advise us of the arrangements you have made for entertainment so that we can be prepared & minimise any inconvenience to you on the day

Cancellation of a confirmed booking will only be accepted in writing from the client who confirmed the original booking. A cancellation number will be issued. Cancellation charges equate to the amount paid to date. In all circumstances, the holding & administration charge is non refundable. The event balance remains non refundable once paid in all circumstances where the hotel is open and available for your function to proceed as planned.

No contract exists between us and our clients for the supply of any services ancillary to those of the provision of food, drink and accommodation and we can not be held liable for the failure of a supplier of other services to satisfy their contract. And finally, please remember that due to the open nature of the castle nothing of any value should be left unattended in public rooms and we recommend that you keep your bedroom locked at all times.
