Just for the Day Wedding

A just for the day wedding at Augill is for up to 12 guests (including the bride & groom) with exclusive use of the Drawing Room for celebrating but sharing the rest of the castle with other guests. Perfect for intimate affairs.

Just you two and 10 of your closest friends/family to celebrate doing the deed! Marry in the Music Room and then celebrate in our perfectly formed Drawing Room. Share the castle with other guests but your party with just yours. Includes canapes, drinks and your wedding breakfast. Stay over or leave having made perfect memories.

Package Includes

Civil ceremonies take place in the Music Room and your continue your celebrations privately in the Drawing Room. The rate includes the use of the room, canapes, drinks and the wedding breakfast. Rooms are available to stay over.

Package Policies

To confirm a booking we will require a 20% non-refundable date holding & administration charge and a letter of confirmation at the time of booking. The balance due for the Just for the Day package is payable 14 days in advance of the event. We strongly recommend function cancellation insurance

Settlement of bar bills and payment for additional food and any other extras is due on departure. We are unable to offer credit facilities beyond the date of departure. Extras will include any repair or replacement costs resulting from damage to, or loss of, castle property, fixtures and fittings whether intentional or accidental.

The client who has confirmed the original booking will be deemed responsible for all outstanding accounts for food, accommodation, drinks and extras incurred by their guests.

We have a function wine list and only permit clients to provide their own wine & champagne by prior arrangement for which there will be a corkage fee for each bottle consumed.

Our licence requires us to close the bar at midnight & we ask that you ensure your non-resident guests have made arrangements in advance for transport home as taxis are rarely book able after midnight.

We can not permit fireworks or the launch of Chinese lanterns as they are inappropriate for our rural location. Confetti should be bio-degradable paper and we request it be thrown outside only. Any use of non biodegradable confetti will incur a clear up charge of £500.

Cancellation of a confirmed booking will only be accepted in writing from the client who confirmed the original booking. A cancellation number will be issued. In the event of a cancellation more than 14 days in advance of the event you forfeit the holding charge already paid. For cancellation within 14 days, cancellation charges equate the full contracted cost of the event: We recommend that you consider insurance to cover the cancellation of your event.

No contract exists between us and our clients for the supply of any services ancillary to those of the provision of food, drink and accommodation and we cannot be held liable for the failure of a supplier of other services to satisfy their contract.

In the case of a wedding it is your responsibility to ensure that you comply with all the conditions set down by the registrar with regard to conduct, timing and photography. We strongly advise that you obtain these in writing prior to your wedding. It remains your responsibility to complete all legal requirements prior to the wedding.

And finally, please remember that due to the open nature of the castle nothing of any value should be left unattended in public rooms and we recommend that you keep your bedroom locked at all times. A civil marriage ceremony is by law open to any member of the public.
