Romantic Package at Can Torras
We offer the Studio Suite in our old masia, or Catalan farmhouse, with fantastic views of the Garrotxa hills from your bed and, with a little luck, a glorious sunset! There is a suite of rooms for relaxing and private dining, with a private entrance to come and go as you please. There will be a welcome bottle of cava in the fridge for you, as well as hot drinks available whenever you need them. Meals in the Summer are served in the shade of the pergola as you look down our valley.
You need to be a little hardier in the winter months, but the views are nearly always spectacular. Our hot tub is located in the garden to catch the sunset and is available at any time of the year.
On your first night we suggest a Catalan influenced dinner under the stars, made from the best of our organic garden and local ingredients. Next morning, breakfast is served picnic style with a choice of breads, cereals and fruit with home made jams. Everyday there is a little something hot made with our own duck, hen, guinea fowl or quail eggs. All diets can be catered for and we try to be as flexible as possible on timing to suit our guests needs.
Over breakfast your host can give you ideas for your day's itinerary and send you off with a guide to the best places to eat for a long lunch, a speciality of Catalonia and usually great value. The best restaurant in the world is in Girona, Celler de Can Roca. We will need a little time to get you a reservation there, but there are hundreds of others to choose from depending on your taste and pocket. After a huge lunch we can offer a light supper at night, a walk around our gardens or in the forest and perhaps another dip in the tub!
If you are only in the North of Catalonia for 2 days we will recommend on the first day that you drive into the mountains with stunning medieval villages and magnificent views of the Pyrenees. On the second day we would suggest a drive around the precious little fishing villages of the Costa Brava and a fishy lunch by the sea before moving on to your next destination.
