Love at First Sight

The Charming Luxury Lodge & Private Spa enjoys a stunning location overlooking Lake Nahuel Huapi in the Patagonia region of Argentina. This 200-square-mile glacial lake lies at an altitude of 2,500 feet and is surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Built in mountain lodge style, the hotel is set among landscaped gardens and mature pine forests with a beach, Playa Bonita, adjacent. The centre of the picturesque town of Bariloche, with its charming old town, is just over four miles from the hotel and the ski slopes of Cerro Catedral are seven miles away.

The breathtaking views of the spectacular scenery around the hotel, the glorious sunsets and the luxurious spa facilities make this an eminently romantic location. Special Honeymoon and Lovers Getaway packages are available and these include a three-night stay in one of the suites, with three-course candlelit a la carte dinners. Other perks are a welcome drink of your choice, complimentary champagne in your room and a gourmet breakfast in your suite or a buffet breakfast in the restaurant. The package also includes airport pickup and car rental.

Your Stay

Suites and apartments are decorated with natural wood and stone and have large picture windows with views across the lake and mountains or the gardens, while some suites have terraces. Many suites have open fires or wood burning stoves and the larger ones have their own private spas including a double jacuzzi, sauna and Finnish shower, with a selection of spa treatments available in-room. Other amenities include Egyptian cotton sheets, flatscreen TVs, free wifi and bathrobes and slippers.

What to Do

There is an excellent range of leisure facilities onsite including a heated outdoor pool with lake views, two outdoor jacuzzis and a fully equipped gym. The spa includes a sauna and a massage room and available treatments range from hot stone massages and reiki to chocolate facials and thermal mud masks. You can explore the hotel's grounds and relax on the adjacent beach, and excellent hiking and mountain biking are available in the surrounding countryside. You can also take a trip into Bariloche which has excellent shopping and a good choice of restaurants. World-class skiing is available during the winter months at the easily accessible Cerro Catedral ski resort.

The Food of Love

The hotel restaurant has timber beams and panelling, and a terrace for al fresco dining with magnificent lake and mountain views. The fine dining menu includes dishes like scallops with zucchini and lemon cream, tenderloin medallion with asparagus escabeche and carrot strudel, and for dessert, orange panna cotta with mango coulis.
