Gretna Hall has stood in the heart of the world famous Scottish village of Gretna Green for over 300 years. Originally built in 1710 as a private manor house, Gretna Hall is set in 10 acres of beautiful gardens; the property boasts a total of 97 bedrooms and offers all the character of a substantial historical building, with the comfort you would expect from a contemporary hotel.

The gardens at Gretna Hall are extensive and provide an ideal backdrop for wedding photographs, with an ornamental water feature, Gazebo, Kissing Gate and "Gretna Green" sign alongside the large lawns and woodland. Show your romantic side and visit our marriage rooms and learn all about the 'Gretna Green' history as well as taking a stroll 200 yards to our Famous Blacksmiths Shop where you can learn even more!

Your Stay

The Hotels interior design is a modern interpretation of a Scottish manor house. Using eclectic design shapes, plaid and plain fabric of various textures and a colour palette inspired by the Scottish countryside, the result is a comfortable and luxurious setting.

Gretna Green since 1754 offers romance throughout the village. Experience our museum and learn all about the history of Gretna Green Weddings. You can opt to get married here, renew your vows or have a simple, but romantic blessing over the legendary anvil within one of our historic Blacksmiths & marriage rooms.
