Package Policies

  • Rates are for two people
  • Rates do not include taxes or service charges
  • 10% tax, 15% service charge, $30.00 daily resort, and $4.00 nightly government tax gets applied to the grand total Rates, tax and service charges may be subject to change without notice. These packages may not be combined with any other promotions.
  • Marriage Requirements - Couple must be in Jamaica for a minimum of 24 hours before getting married. The following documents should be forwarded to the resort at least one month prior to your wedding date: Notarized copies of your birth certificates Notarized copies of divorce decrees or death certificates (if applicable) Occupations of both bride and groom Occupation and names of parents of both bride and groom Date and Time of Wedding

  • Wedding Agreement - A signed contract and initial non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your event date, space and time. A minimum guest guarantee is required and will be indicated on your contract. Final headcount is due 30 days prior and full payment is due 15 days prior to your event. This is the minimum number of guests that you will be charged for. Overtime charges will be defined on your individual contract.

  • Inclement Weather Policy - Should weather conditions prohibit your event from taking place at the agreed ceremony and reception locations, we will relocate your event to an alternative location on property. This “back up” plan will be discussed with you during the planning stages of your event. Management reserves the right to move outside wedding ceremonies and receptions inside due to inclement weather four hours prior to the start time.

  • Location Fees - A location fee will apply if less than 80% of your wedding guests utilize accommodations at Half Moon.

  • Event Policies - All events at the Pool Deck are required to use plastic and acrylic items; no glass is permitted on the premises. Menu selections are to be submitted 30 days prior to the scheduled event. A children’s menu is available. It is customary to feed your vendors and a discounted price is available for their meals. Smoking is not permitted in indoor public areas. Excess decorations such as confetti or streamers must be pre-approved by resort’s management. Floor plans are due 7 days prior to your event, and any changes made within 72 hours prior to the event are subject to a surcharge. A credit card must be kept on file to accommodate any overages on day of event.

  • Guest Rooms and Arrivals - Half Moon must have complete rooming list and flight information in alphabetical order 30 days prior to the wedding date. Failure to provide Half Moon with these critical details may result in the inability to honor special requests.

  • Other Useful Information - All vendors must provide a Certificate of General Liability insurance. The resort cannot be responsible for items lost, stolen or left behind the day of the event. The resort will not take possession of the bride’s wedding dress under any circumstance.
