Surrounded by Kentish countryside but only one hour from London by train, we have delightful country walks close by and the Cathedral cities of Canterbury and Rochester are only half an hour's drive away.

Our five Deluxe Rooms have everything you could possibly need for a romantic stay, with jacuzzi baths, luxurious superkingsized beds and plenty of space to enjoy a leisurely breakfast in bed or a bottle of champagne on the balcony. Indulge in a romantic treatment together in our double treatment room or simply enjoy a refreshing splash in either the indoor or outdoor pools or an invigorating dip in our jacuzzi or hydrotherapy pools.
The classical surroundings of Lakes Restaurant is perfect for a romatic dinner for two, especially if you are celebrating a special occasion when we will be delighted to provide you with a hand made decorated plate with your dessert or coffee. Unwind in four acres of beautiful gardens where you can sit on the garden benches or swing and enjoy drinks or coffee on the many terraces around the grounds.
Your Stay
Our reception team will greet you on arrival giving you all the details of your stay and they will ensure that you are familiar with all the facilities at your disposal and our housekeeping team will welcome you with swans and petals on the bed to make your stay even more special.
What to Do
Apart from all the facilities we offer in the hotel, the Cathedral cities of Canterbury and Rochester and just half an hour's drive away where there are many historical sights to see as well as a huge variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. The historical dockyard in Chatham Maritime is a complete day out in itself with boat cruises to enjoy as well should you wish. The coast in very close by and you can enjoy a wonderful day out at the seaside towns of Whitstable, Maragte, Ramsgate or Broadstairs with all the traditional coastal delights including Solleys ice creams fresh from the dairy and English fish and chips as well should you wish!
All around the hotel there are lovely countryside walks and if you venture a little further you have beautil nature rambles and woodland to enjoy. There are nature reserves on the Isle of Sheppey which is only a twenty minute drive away where there are also award winning beaches.
The Food of Love
The classical surroundings of Lakes Restaurant is the perfect setting for a romantic lunch or dinner for two and our fine dining A La Carte menu is prepared in our kitchens by our award winning team of chefs. Wherever possible the produce we use is locally sourced and every dish is carefully prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
The Brasserie is a less formal but equally attractive environment with its light and airy vaulted ceiling and views of the swimming pool. It opens out onto a delightful terrace with a waterfall feature and planters, leading out onto the lawned areas of the grounds and the outdoor swimming pool.
The menu here runs from Monday to Thursday, lunchtime and evening and includes lighter options, salads and ciabatta paninis, alongside the traditional Bistro type menu choices.
Afternoon teas are served daily in both dining outlets and include a variety of traditional choices, finger sandwiches, homemade scones with clotted cream and cakes. A choice of teas and coffees accompany your selection and all dietary requirements can be catered for.
