The Hotel Cala di Volpe has 121 rooms with views of the bay and gardens. The rooms’ interior design is inspired by the Mediterranean style, with terracotta tiles in soft pastel colours. The restaurant’s elegant white stucco arches, exquisite handcrafted Sardinian furnishings in hues of red, yellow, and gold, and terracotta tile floor set the stage for an unforgettable meal. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame spectacular views of the sea, while the soft flicker of candles imitates the glittering lights strung around the harbour. Executive Chef Maurizio Locatelli and his stellar team preside over the kitchen, creating a sumptuous menu of Mediterranean specialties daily. His legendary buffets boast an unrivalled selection of antipasti, inspired by regional recipes using the freshest local produce, cheeses, meats, and seafood. His passion for locally-inspired dishes is evident in the creamy lightness of the ricotta-stuffed squash, the salty bite of house-cured Sardinian ham, or the unexpected textures of fresh cannelloni stuffed with chopped beef and smothered in a velvety béchamel. His signature dish "Fregola"—a Sardinian durum wheat pasta served with a delicate seafood and vegetable sauce—should not be missed. The dessert buffet— created every night by Executive Pastry Chef Manuel Arcadu—is equally impressive. For parents wishing to enjoy a little private time, the restaurant offers a separate dining area dedicated to children eight years of age or older from 7 pm to 8:30 pm every evening. MATSUHISA AT CALA DI VOLPE
For an exotic indulgence, Chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa, with ‘Matsuhisa at Cala di Volpe’ restaurant, completes the selection of dining choices at Hotel Cala di Volpe, featuring his revolutionary Japanese cuisine Nobu style in a completely renewed location in the original core of the hotel, overlooking the charming pier and the yachts berthed in the most glamorous bay of the Mediterranean. CALA DI VOLPE BARBECUE This delightfully informal spot encourages guests to linger over their meal, enjoying the welcome shade of the thatched awning and the cooling breeze from the bay. The daily lunch buffet—conceived of by Executive Chef Maurizio Locatelli —offers a delicious opportunity to sample traditional Mediterranean fare prepared with the freshest local ingredients. Served on massive slabs of Sardinian marble, the daily selection of fresh salads, local cheeses, homemade pastas, grilled meats, succulent seafood, fresh fruits, and indulgent desserts is a veritable feast to both the eyes and the palate. Guests are free to choose any combination of dishes, with the assistant chefs at hand to answer questions and offer recommendations. The soft murmur of running water from the fountain behind the buffet tables underscores the relaxed ambience.
LA CAVE PRIVE' DINING Wrought-iron candelabra topped with beeswax candles stand on long rustic wooden tables, casting their soft golden glow upon the white washed stucco walls of La Cave Privè Dining, while colourful flecks of light from the stained-glass windows above the archways dance on the stone floor. Located in one corner of the Cala Restaurant, La Cave Privè Dining boasts a collection of more than 400 bottles of exceptional vintages from the most notable wineries around the world. Award-winning winemakers showcase their finest grapes on a regular basis. Savour the outstanding selections recommended by a sommelier—either as a private wine tasting or a perfect complement to your meal in the restaurant. CALA BEACH CLUB Featuring a lounge and restaurant area, the perfect summer escape located along the private beach of the Hotel Cala di Volpe, Cala Beach Club is an elegant and vibrant oasis of relaxation surrounded by a postcard-worthy landscape. Closing on September, 28th.
