Love at First Sight
Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden is steeped in rich romantic history. The hotel was built in the 18th century by the Saxon king, August the Strong, as a pledge of his love to his mistress, and was faithfully restored in 1995, bringing a contemporary elegance to this traditional hotel. A decidedly decadent property, Taschenbergpalais Kempinski is set in the delightful Dresden in Eastern Germany, and is close by to a wealth of architectural splendour, including the Baroque Frauenkirche church and the Zwinger Palace.

In-line with the hotel's rich regal splendour, each room is lavish and luxurious, combining traditional warmth and plush fabrics with a chic and contemporary elegance. Most have a ceiling height of up to 4.8m, and offer breathtaking views of the hotel's picturesque courtyard or the Theatre Square of Dresden, but the pièce de résistance is the Crown Prince Suite, where the enormous space of 19th century opulence will make you feel as though you are living like royalty.

With philosophies founded in the healing powers and rituals of water, the source of life, the sparkling swimming pool is the perfect place to lose yourself in the spa's serenity. A range of traditional therapies are available, designed to help you relax and rebalance, and couple's treatments are available, so you can reconnect with yourselves and each other. Seasonal treatments take you from invigorating scrub to sensual massages, and champagne is included to add to the air of indulgence. In the winter months, festive fantasies are brought to life with an outdoor ice rink in the courtyard, and a Winter Wonderland sits next to Semper Opera House.

Restaurant Intermezzo is for those who appreciate the art of fine dining, offering uncomplicated yet refined and elegant Mediterranean cuisine. Palais Bistro serves authentic French cuisine in a sultry and ambient space, serving the likes of Truffeled Tarte Flambée, Coq au Vin, and Crème Brûlée, with the flair of a real Paris bistro, and a glamorous brunch is served on Sundays too.
