Lampworking to Make Your Own Glass Bead Souvenir

Glass beads represent one of the most ancient and lively products of Venice. Their colors, elaborate design and exceptional polish have no equal, and that is why this centuries-old tradition today is part of the UNESCO Intangible Heritage. These unique decorative objects, highly desired by stylish women from all over the world, were once valuable trading goods exported by the Venetian and European merchants. Through this workshop you are given the chance to discover the history of these little decorative objects and gain first-hand knowledge of bead-making. Let yourself be inspired by the lights and colors of this magical material under the watchful eye of a skillful artisan and create your own glass beads to cherish these memories forever.

Add-On Includes

• 45-minute (approx.) workshop at the artisan's atelier on Murano Island
• English, Italian, French and German speaking artisan
• Creation of 1 glass bead per paying person

Addon Policies

• Price is meant per person
• Available daily from 11 AM to 3 PM and subject to artisan's confirmation
• Please note that at the end of the workshop the glass beads have to cool down for approx. 1 hr. Hence, the beads will be delivered to the hotel at a later stage. Alternatively, it is possible to ship them to your desired address (delivery costs are charged to the consignee)
• Participants are provided with the necessary protective equipment
• Max. 4 people at a time are allowed to access the atelier
• For cancellation conditions, this activity follows the policies of the main package it is added to
