Rooms (107): Each Classic room in our hotel in Mijas is designed to ensure a peaceful night’s sleep, the deep pillows, fresh linen and soft Nordic duvets practically encourage you to stretch out, slow down and savour the easy-going Mediterranean lifestyle. Superior rooms are light, generously proportioned and furnished with restrained grace, to be both spacious and supremely comfortable. Offering spectacular views out on to the enchanting peaceful Andalusian countryside you slip easily into a deep & restful sleep… waking up to another glorious sun soaked day is simply a delight. For those wishing to add a little more space to their stay we have five junior suites in our hotel in Mijas. Generous in size, each is tastefully decorated in an Andalusian style and are set against either the magnificent back drop of the Sierra de Ojen Mountains or La Cala’s Campo Asia. Each suite has two separate areas: salon and bedroom, and are designed to ensure a comfortable extended stay. Adjoining the salon, the open plan kitchen allows for easy of conversation with family & friends while the preparation of a simple snack is underway. La Cala Resort offers also rental apartments & townhouses.

The following activities many of which feature regularly in our weekly programme of events are available by appointment and take full advantage of the abundance of pursuits that we have to offer. You will do at La Cala Resort Pilates, Yoga, Yogalates, Zumba, Aqua Toning, Cardio Kickboxing, Cardio kickboxing, Stretching, Therapeutic swimming, Aquagym, Circuit training and Indoor cycling.
The Food of Love
At La Cala Resort our food philosophy is simple – the freshest quality ingredients, locally sourced and cooked to perfection. Each of our restaurants has its own unique style and character, but they all have one thing in common, a genuinely warm and attentive service.
La Cala Resort Executive Chef: Daniel García Peinado His philosophy comes from EVOO-based (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) cuisine, but with hints of global culture, since most guests are international. The main ingredient of the new Executive Chef’s cuisine is Extra Virgin Olive Oil and he is always sure to use the latest culinary and avant-garde techniques. Trained at La Cónsula, he has worked in the United Kingdom and at Restaurante Lasarte de Martin Berasategui (three Michelin stars). Following his time at Molina Lario (Málaga capital), Holiday Hydros and Vincci Selección Aleysa, García Peinado has gained extensive experience at luxury hotels. Currently, he is a gastronomic advisor, Executive Chef of Gourmet de la Roja and captain of the Spanish Professional Cooking Team.
