New Year Package

With the atmosphere set, the décor decked with festive bling and plenty of comfy corners to enjoy your late night liquers, let the celebrations begin!

Everyone who stays on Lupita island is encouraged to feel at home and this is especially true during the festive season. This unique Island lodge offers the perfect opportunity to relax and discover some of the amazing opportunities an African Island has to offer, whether it’s a holistic treatment in our spa with a view, a festive sunset cruise, visiting an old derelict monastery or our chef’s festive afternoon tea, each day will be a day to remember.

Celebratory Christmas cocktails at our beach bar, sunset cruise with all the trimmings, Christmas day spent on a deserted beach with festive punches and classic Pimms and a fabulous festive lunch catering to everyones taste.

Soak up the beauty and remoteness of the lake, with only a few fishermen gliding by the beach as the sun sinks.

Whether it is organising a stylish seasonal get-together or close family reunion, maybe a long planned anniversary holiday; plan to have an amazing New Year with us.

Package Includes

28th December:

• Arrival day: Meet at airstrip with refreshing drink and cooling face cloth.
• Short 10 minutes drive to Lupita mainland jetty and your 10 minutes boat trip to Lupita Island.
• Golf carts waiting to take you to Lupita island Lodge at the top of the island where ice cold sparkling wine and salmon blinis await.
• Unpack and refresh in your lake view suite and join the party at the bar to start the evening festivities, gin bar and gin cocktails abound.
• Start the evening as you mean to go on. A delicious buffet dinner in a casual setting followed by music and dancing at the pool.

29th December:

• Lazy breakfast, snacks and our Lupita island festive cocktails tasting starts at 11am at the pool followed by lunch.
• Late afternoon sunset cruise with all the trimmings on our old lady of the lake cabin cruiser. Enjoy G and T on the bow of the boat. Jump into the lake and swim in a mile of water. Delicious snacks and canapes as you watch the sun set on the horizon.
• We will make our way back to Lupita in time for a couple of hours rest and another food gastronomy!

30th December:

• A day of relaxation and water sports, try snorkelling, kayaking, swimming or just laze by the pool. Enjoy a BBq lunch at our beach and bar. Take in the sun set from the beach bar deck while enjoying delicious snacks. And as the night draws in maybe sit in our sandy boma around the fire pit with friendly waiters plying you with your favourite tipple or socialise at the bar.
• Delicious 4 course dinner at the pool followed by a thrilling and unusual surprise.

31st December:

• Wake up to a champagne breakfast.
• The boat leaves at midday to a deserted beach for your sumptuous New Year eve festive lunch, Pimms and rum punches. Ice cold beers and wines. Snorkelling around the rocks, beach games into late afternoon. Kayak or boat ride back to Lupita island.
• Have a couple of hours to relax arriving back in the lounge ready for your 8 course New years eve taster menu. Accompanied by fine wines.
• Dance the night away and as the clock strikes midnight celebrate the entering of the New Year with champagne.
• Soup and snacks throughout the night for those hardy souls.
• Breakfast is served into a brunch on New Years day. Sadly you will be taken over to the mainland and your flight back to Arusha around midday.

Packages also INCLUDES: - Full board accommodation and snacks. - Standard alcoholic beverages and soft drinks. Cocktails as Stated and champagne on the festive days as stated. - Sunset cruise with all the holiday trimmings. - Fully catered festive buffet and fun afternoon on deserted beach with punches and drinks of choice. - All non motorised water sports. Ie: snorkelling, kayaking, swimming beach games available. - Sparkling wine with each breakfast. - A visit to the mainland deserted historic Monastery (on request). - A short boat ride and walk to neighbouring island to visit a traditional fishing village (not staged at all, totally authentic). - Collection from flight to Lupita return.

Packages EXCLUDES: - Spa treatments. - Fishing with handlines in wooden boats and local expert fishermen. - Full and half day fishing with tackle and speed boat. (Please note all fishing experiences to be booked in advance as we need to purchase fishing licenses.) - Diving. - Champagne and exotic liqueurs on days not stated on packages. - Motorised water sports.

Flights must be booked additionally. Minimum 6 guests required for flights for great special price.

Flights departing Arusha/Serengeti directly to Lupita Islands private airstrip in Kipili: - @$495 per person net. (Add $50 per person for Serengeti stop) 24th December or 28th December.

Flights departing Lupita private airstrip, Kipili, back to Arusha: - @$495 per person net. 28th December or 1st January 2020
