Luke White

Wealthy and well-connected Dublin bookseller Luke White became the first person outside the Luttrell family to own the Irish castle when he bought it from them around 1829. While his renaming of the castle to ‘Woodlands’ never stuck, his memory remains in this beautifully-decorated bedroom. The elegant, elevated en-suite marble-finished bathroom is just one of the unique features of this soothing and spacious bedroom. There are also a host of sophisticated furnishing like the vintage dressing table, the wonderful wardrobes and the enormous fireplace. Finally, the big bay window that offers unrivalled views of the sprawling estate, makes the perfect place to sit back and relax as you honour his memory by losing yourself in a good book.
