On one of the walls in this wonderful Irish castle, is a large painting of Aileen Plunkett’s famous racehorse Millennium, who spent the 1930s galloping across the sprawling Luttrellstown estate. As well as being buried on the estate he once roamed, this magnificent horse is also honoured with one of the most eye-catching rooms in the entire castle. High ceilings, ornate wardrobes, vintage furniture and a beautifully-big bay window, surround a stunning four-poster bed that forms the centrepiece of this large, luxurious bedroom. While The Millennium at Luttrellstown Castle Resort in Dublin is named after a racehorse, it’s fit for royalty.
