Your Stay

Mont Rochelle houses 26 elegant rooms which have each been tastefully decorated to create a luxurious yet cosy feel. With king-size beds, crisp bed linen, state of the art flat screen TVs and a complimentary minibar you'll enjoy a restful and relaxing stay. Each room also offers fantastic views overlooking the stunning valley and mountains or the hotel's beautiful courtyard.

For something extra special why not stay in one of the spacious suites on offer? These house an additional living room area and some also include a private plunge pool and outdoor terrace for an extra bit of luxury.

What to Do

As you'd expect given the hotel's location, one of the main attractions are the delicious wine tastings. These can be arranged to take place in the restaurant, bar, or in the hotel's 150 year old wine cellar. You can also visit other local wine estates by utilising the famous Franschhoek wine tram. The hop-on, hop-off service is an excellent way to take in beautiful scenery, picturesque vineyards, fine local wines and first-class cuisine.

If you'd like something a little more active the hotel is home to a gym and floodlit Astroturf tennis court as well as a generously sized outdoor heated swimming pool with fantastic views of the Franschhoek mountain range. Additionally, it also houses two spa treatment rooms and a Hammam. Perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.

Mont Rochelle has two excellent restaurants on its premises, both of which source the best local seasonal ingredients to create delicious cuisine.

MIKO, the main restaurant, has plenty of South African favourites on its menu, all of which pair perfectly with the award-winning wine list and with its beautiful covered terrace you can enjoy the magical 180-degree views of the Franschhoek valley and surrounding vineyards and mountains all year round.

The Country Kitchen is Mont Rochelle’s informal restaurant located just a short walk or a quick drive from the main hotel building and adjacent to our wine cellar. Savour the beautiful surroundings of the Mont Rochelle estate as you sample the hearty and fresh dishes and gourmet picnics The Country Kitchen has on offer which are all made with locally sourced ingredients.
