Queen Mary's Chamber

Queen Mary’s Chamber is an exclusive suite within the castle. It’s without question one of the most romantic places to stay in the Scottish Borders. The antique four poster, deep roll top bath and open log fire evoke times gone by. But the comfort and luxury is refreshingly contemporary, from the piping hot water to a coffee machine and fridge.

In the mornings, an elegant table is set for a delicious continental breakfast, with smoked salmon, granola, creamy yoghurt, excellent bread and fresh fruit.

You’ll also find lots of little treats around the chamber to pamper you and make you feel welcome, including a fabulous selection of natural skincare products from the Highland Soap Company, fine chocolates crafted by our local award-winning chocolatier, and a complimentary guide book to the castle.
