The North Island wedding set-up is very much in keeping with ‘Island style’, using palm branches to create an arch or pergola on the beach, decorated with tropical flowers to create a simple and natural look. The Island offers an optional extra full wedding planning service, from assisting with the necessary Seychelles formalities through to floral decorations and even the dress. A Registrar from the Seychelles Civil Status Office can be brought to the Island to preside over a more traditional wedding ceremony, or an informal vow renewal ceremony (without legal status) can be arranged.

North Island weddings end with the couple participating in a beautiful and moving sand ritual as a sign of their love and unity. This is a North Island tradition that symbolises the indivisible combining of two lives as one. The celebrations can then continue after the ceremony in keeping with each couple’s preferred approach to their special day, whether a cocktail evening at West Beach Bar with a few close friends, a romantic dinner for two in the villa or library – or for the ultimate after-party, guests can make a sole-use booking of the entire Island.
