Love at First Sight
A Family owned and run hotel offering a charming mix of traditional and contemporary styling. The roadside approach disguises a larger than expected property, housing 20 hotel rooms across the original 17th Century building, later Coach House and more recent wing. As well as our comfortable lounge, vibrant restaurant and beautiful Oak framed, glass walled Garden Room event space. We have a pretty courtyard lined by Wysteria and climbing roses with an antique fountain, and a large garden dominated by our magnificent Horse Chestnut Tree, bordered by the River Yeo, overlooking farmland fields. Whether you're looking for a characterful base to explore the many joys of South Somerset, or a quiet and friendly place to relax, you may just have landed on the spot here.
Romance
We can't make you romantic but we can give you an unpretentious, warm and relaxing place to enjoy time with someone special in your life. Pre-order a bottle of fizz for your arrival or contact our local florist for an extra touch for your loved one. Book into our Mexican cantina for some food sharing (or not!) and enjoy our range of draught lager, ale & cider; sample our cocktail list; while away the time over your choice from our small but carefully selected wines. Or perhaps a nice cup of tea or your favourite coffee in a sunny garden spot or corner of the lounge.
Your Stay
Book one of our basic budget room or our only 4 Poster room, or something in-between. All are en-suite, comfortable and individual.
Our Breakfasts are very good, as is our Mexican food. Home made to order and using, as far as possible, locally sourced ingredients.
Relax with a hot or cold drink in our cosy lounge or pretty garden. Wander the small town of Ilchester, walk the local paths or venture further afield. We're hear to assist and guide in order to help make your stay what you wish for.
