Love at First Sight
Thavorn Beach Village & Spa is on the southern Thai island of Phuket, overlooking Nakalay Bay and the tropical waters of the Andaman Sea. The resort is set on a hillside covered in lush green vegetation, with a seafront orchid garden and mature trees. The resort is built in traditional Thai style with villas featuring gracefully curving, tiled roofs that complement the beautiful natural surroundings. There is a private beach, a large lagoon-style swimming pool, and the hillside location affords glorious views across the sea. The bright lights of Patong are just a 10-minute taxi ride away and Phuket International airport is about 45 minutes distant.
Romance
The luxurious seclusion of Thavorn Beach Village, the white sands of the private beach and the lushness of the tropical gardens all combine to make this an outstandingly romantic location. You can get married at the resort, and both Western and Thai style ceremonies are available. Whatever type of wedding you choose, details can be customised to meet your wishes. You can have your ceremony on the private beach, by the lagoon pool or in the gardens. Receptions can be held in the Old Siam Restaurant by the beach and you can opt for a variety of themes and menu plans, guided by the resort's expert wedding planners.
Your Stay
The 185 rooms and suites are decorated and furnished in traditionally elegant Thai style and have verandas or terraces with garden and sea views. Some villas have direct access from their terraces to the pool while others are higher up the hillside and are accessed via a funicular carriage. All rooms come with air conditioning, TVs with cable channels and minibars. Other amenities include tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary bottled water and bathrobes and slippers.
What to Do
Spend lazy days on the beach or by the lagoon pool with its bridges, waterfalls and Thai sculptures, and the Crocodile swim-up bar. Alternatively, indulge yourself at the spa set in the gardens, where a full range of beauty treatments and relaxation therapies is available. Yoga sessions are available on the beach as are Tai Chi classes. If you're feeling more in the mood for action, try some Thai boxing or beach volleyball.
The Food of Love
Start your day at the Marisa Terrace Restaurant with a Thai or Western breakfast, and come back in the evening to sample the a la carte menu which features Thai and international dishes. The Old Siam Restaurant overlooking Nakalay Bay specialises in traditional Thai cuisine from the country's different regions.
