Inspired by the work of renowned French Art Deco artist Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann, our Ruhlmann Suite is a stunning homage in black and chrome.
Ruhlmann excelled in the use of rare and exotic woods, lacquer and precious metals, with exquisite veneers, intricate inlay and scrollwork. A colour scheme of black and cream with brushed brass and chrome complements beautifully hand-crafted Art Deco-style wardrobes in lacquered walnut veneer, inlayed with an intricate brushed brass design.
The focal point of this spectacular suite is the striking Joan Roslyn Hathaway Art Deco Lucite Screen, featuring a dancing female figure on the central panel, which serves as a backdrop to the walnut veneer-framed king-sized bed. The suite, with stunning views of Kensington Gardens, also features beautiful original artwork by Erté (Romain de Tirtoff).
