Mdina is often described as a life-size outdoor museum. The Xara Palace is surrounded by Baroque Architecture and is situated in a fortified city, the former capital city of Malta. When one visits Mdina, one can visit the Co-Cathedral of Malta, old palaces, museums, catacombs and Roman Villas which are all a stone's throw away from the hotel. Mdina is also situated in the centre of Malta and one can easily travel around the island by bus, taxi or a rented car to view the Northern and Southern part of the island which are both beautiful in their own way.
