Love at First Sight
Discover 7 unique treehouses nestled amongst 70+ acres of wilderness. Perfect for an adventurous and intimate honeymoon or an unforgettable romantic escape. Each tree house has been designed and built by local architects and craftsmen, located on the main highway #141 between Ciudad Quesada and La Fortuna, Arenal Volcano. Just 25 minutes south of La Fortuna and just before the town of Santa Clara.
We are about two hours from the San Jose Airport. The roads are very good and the scenery is beautiful. The drive does take you up and over mountains and through a cloud forest so it is suggested you make the drive during daylight hours. (GPS N10 22.564 W084 31612)
Romance
The very exclusive nature of this hotel makes it ideal for honeymooners and couples. The tree houses are very private, romantic, and cozy. The sights and sounds of the rain forest create a wonderful ambience for a honeymoon to remember. We offer a flower/champagne/chocolate package which can be added to your booking.
Your Stay
Each tree house is an independent structure with plenty of space and rain forest between each one. They are all a short walk to the Rancho, where breakfast is served each morning, yet far enough to insure your privacy. We give each guest a gate opener upon check in so the only people here are customers staying at Tree Houses.
Each tree house has plenty of room inside and a covered porch outside with a table and benches to sit and enjoy the view. Each has A/C, refrigerator and warm water showers. The beds are comfortable and we provide soap, towels and all the necessary bedding items. The electric is 110 and there are of plenty of outlets to charge your camera battery. All treehouses have free wifi.
What to Do
We always suggest renting a car while in Costa Rica. Driving outside of San Jose is really pretty easy and the roads are good, especially in this area. We will work with you to design a custom tour itinerary that meets all of your wants. Costa Rica is an incredibly diverse country with something to offer everyone. There are outstanding adrenaline adventures (canyoning, rafting, ziplining), chances to get up close and personal with the wildlife (Safari Float, Cano Negro), and gorgeous hikes for all skill levels (like the Arenal Volcano and Rio Celeste). Want a full-day adventure? We can create a combo tour for the fullest experience. We pride ourselves on only working with the best outfitters in the region and we have great relationships with them. We also have some exclusive activities only available at Tree Houses Hotel that are great for families and couples. We take the time to insure your itinerary is all taken care of so you can just show up, have fun, and not worry about a thing!
The Food of Love
We serve breakfast every morning at the Rancho and there are nine restaurants, or 'sodas' as they're called here, within a 5 to 15 minute drive of Tree Houses. And in case you're not feeling like leaving your cozy tree house, several restaurants deliver to Tree Houses! A lot of the adventure tours include lunch and/or dinner. Also, there are two authentic Italian restaurants close by, both are owned and operated by a family from Verona Italy.
