Love at First Sight
This converted barn is set in the grounds of Upper Calffield Farm and enjoys views of the paddocks and fields beyond with horses, sheep and other animals. In the conservatory area with its soaring glass roof is a large glass topped dining table with four carver chairs so you can dine in style with views of the garden and paddocks during the day and under the stars at night. In fine weather you can dine outside or simply sit with a glass of wine and watch the ponies and other animals. There is ample garden furniture and a barbecue is available on request. In winter there is a woodburning stove to keep you cosy as well as full oil fired central heating.
The master bedroom has a huge carved American superking bed, oak flooring and French windows out onto the terrace. There is plenty of wardrobe space.

Guests always comment on how peaceful and relaxing they find a stay at Upper Calffield Farm and many of them return regularly. They love the fact that we are so rural and yet well placed for all the amenities of a county town e.g. shops and restaurants. Pembrokeshire is famed for its wide sandy beaches and for having the longest coastal walk in the UK (186 miles). It has plenty to offer history lovers, wildlife enthusiasts and those wanting an active holiday.
With its magnificent coastline and multitude of huge sandy beaches, Pembrokeshire is an obvious choice for beach and walking holidays. The adventurous can go coasteering or learn to windsurf or dive. There are many boat trips on offer to see the multitude of islands off the coast and it is advisable to book well in advance to see the puffins on Skomer Island in the Spring - or to go dolphin watching. There is also plenty on offer here for history lovers with its medieval castles e.g. Pembroke Castle, birthplace of Henry VII, ancient Neolithic sites such as Pentre Ifan and the rich maritime heritage. The history of St Davids Cathedral, with its beautiful setting within the UK's smallest city, dates from 589 and it is well worth a visit, even for the non religious. There is a riding stable within a ten minute drive or if you prefer Alpacas you can walk with them at Sweet Home Alpaca Farm and Visitor Centre.
We are situated within a ten minute drive of the county town of Haverfordwest with its array of shops, restaurants and pubs. Saundersfoot and Tenby are less than half an hour away. There is plenty of choice, from basic pub grub to award winning restaurants such as Blas, Lan y Mor (previously Coast) and The Grove at Narbeth. We are also a short drive away from a range of supermarkets e.g. Marks and Spencer, Tesco, Morrisons, Aldi and Lidl so you are unlikely to go hungry! Wine and gin can be sampled at Velfrey vineyard and Cinammon Grove.
