Your Stay
The dramatic accommodations immerse you in your own private Los Cabos dreamscape. Transformative views of the horizon on the Sea of Cortez can be taken in from your private terrace. Soak in the oversized bathtubs or invigorate in the double headed rain showers.
Next to the main restaurant, Casero, a lively scene is always stirring. Welcome to Otro Bar, where wine and tequila flow, and worries seem to melt away. Chalk it up to that view: sand, sea and sun. Take it in while enjoying a drink that honors authenticity. Mexican Spirits are served in cantaritos (traditional Mexican drinking vessels) and house infusions come in porróns (Spanish jugs sized for one).
What to Do
Playa El Médano
Playa El Médano, or Médano Beach, is a big spring breaker destination in March. But it’s bustling just about any time of year. In fact, you could say it’s the center of social life in Cabo San Lucas. At nearly two miles long, it will lure you with restaurants, bars, souvenir shops and water sports. Go ahead – rent a wave runner or kayak, go parasailing, or have a water taxi take you out to Land’s End or Lover’s Beach. It’s very safe to swim here, especially in the roped-off areas, although you won’t find any lifeguards in Cabo San Lucas.
Playa Chileno
Playa Chileno, or Chileno Beach, is a true beauty along the corridor that connects cape cities Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. Local residents love it for the swimming in a protected bay and amenities ranging from bathrooms to food vendors. You’ll encounter the biggest crowds on weekends in high season (December through May). Plan ahead – umbrellas are available to rent, and you can arrange for water sports and more through the dive shop. Snorkeling and diving are first rate, and several charter companies from Cabo San Lucas offer snorkel and dive tours to Chileno Bay.
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS Art Walk
Art thrives in San Jose del Cabo. Check out the scene on an Art Walk, held Thursday evenings from 5-9 p.m. throughout high season (November through June). During these guided tours you get an insider’s look at local galleries while you sip wine and chat with artists and gallery owners. Can’t catch a tour? Visit the galleries at your own pace; you’ll find them clustered in the historic Distrito del Arte (Art District) amid bars, restaurants and other must-sees.
Cabo Organic Farmers Market
Get a true taste of local culture at the Organic Farmers Market. Along with locally grown organic vegetables, herbs and fruit, you can pick up prepared foods like taboule, humus, salads, fresh bread, cookies and more. Plan to do your own cooking? There’s fresh fish, organic chicken and a variety of cheeses up for grabs. A true gourmet destination.

Museum of Natural History
Look for the whale skeleton on the town square. It’s just a hint at the numerous treasures you’ll find inside the Museum of Natural History Cabo San Lucas. The free museum (donations accepted) showcases the geology, paleontology, archaeology, biodiversity and culture of Baja California Sur. Explore exhibits about the life of the Pericúes (the original inhabitants of the area), the history of Spanish colonization and piracy along the coast. Plus, special spotlights on flora, fauna and marine life.

This beautiful old church is one of the jewels of San Jose del Cabo’s historic downtown – just steps from City Hall, Casa de la Cultura and Distrito del Arte (Art District). It’s been through several moves and renovations since being founded in 1734 by Jesuit priest and local legend Nicolas Tamaral. Get up-close with Tamaral’s storied past by looking up at the church’s entrance; there, you’ll see a mosaic depicting his killing by the area’s native inhabitants, the Pericúes. The church moved to its current spot near the middle of the 19th century, but had to be rebuilt in the 20th century after being hit by a hurricane. It continues to be one of the most important cultural monuments in Los Cabos and hosts daily services.

You’ll find our cocineros pressing fresh tortillas day or night -- for breakfast, lunch and dinner – any time you crave authenticity. Indulge every wish. There is everything from Baja-style chilaquiles to langosta tacos to brined cactus ensaladas.
Understandably, you’ll want to enjoy it all with a glass of tequila or mescal in hand. But why not try the road less traveled? Taste one of the “forgotten spirits” of Mexico, from Sotol to Pox to Tepache. Or, raise a glass of wine from the rising-star Guadalupe Valley region of Mexico.
Yes, this is a place to expand your horizons in a setting like no other. Where else can you dine suspended between sea and land, and surrounded by “espejos de agua” (water mirrors)? It’s a place that, no matter how many times you visit, you’ll always feel as if you just discovered paradise.
Nido - For the voyager in everyone comes a restaurant that evokes wanderlust – and awakens your palate. The specialty: ceviche, fresh from the sea. The setting: a beautiful nest-like structure suspended between ocean and land, and surrounded by “espejos de agua,” literally water mirrors, magical in their own right.
It’s a setting fit for an adventurer. Incidentally, Nido is inspired by the travels and research of John Steinbeck and Ed Ricketts, who fell enamored with this region along the Sea of Cortez.
Just as you’d expect from a restaurant overlooking the crashing tide, Nido serves small, chilled bites that refresh and relax you. Escape with a local specialty (seaweed salad, aguachile, sashimi), as well a number of ceviche selections from around the world.
Equally satisfying is the innovative and vibrant drink list, which includes house-made sangria, pisco-based cocktails and beer-infused libations. All perfect for toasting as night falls and discoveries unfold.
