Set in the picturesque Tuscan Maremma countryside, sits the elegant and romantic Villa Acquaviva. Comprising of an aristocratic villa and a collection of traditional farmhouses, you have rustic charm in abundance. Maremma flourishes with natural beauty, and you’ll be utterly encapsulated by the fragrances and flavours, landscapes and horizons, the rich history of the villages and the scent of the sea, carried along by the warm breeze. Peace and tranquility are at the heart of Villa Acquaviva, and luxurious accommodation, an indulgent spa and delicious Tuscan cuisine, complement the idyllic surroundings and make for the most romantic retreat.
True Tuscan romance awaits you at Villa Acquaviva, and a wedding reception here will sweep you off your feet. The attentive team can take care of as many or as few details as you wish, including music, flowers, photography, decoration and wedding banquets, and there are several enchanting places you can choose for your reception. The gardens stretch out over six acres in front of the 19th century villa, and the park and vineyards can be used for photoshoots too. The Lemon restaurant sits in front of the pool, with views over the medieval village of Montemerano, and is ideal for smaller events. However, for large wedding parties, you may like to opt to use the farm – the building opens out onto the vineyards and is lit up with beautiful lights twinkling over the Tuscan countryside.
The delightful guestrooms and suites are all, rather poetically, named after a different flower, inspired by the colours found in the patterns of the English fabrics that decorate the inside of your room. Wrought iron bed frames and antiques create traditional Tuscan charm, and upgraded rooms include some luxurious features, such as Jacuzzis, generous living areas and private terraces and verandas, that offer breathtaking views. The most opulent suite also includes a multijet shower, a free mini bar, luxury toiletries and bathrobes and a welcome bottle of Morellino di Scansano of Fattoria Acquaviva.
There are many wonderful ways to while away the hours at Villa Acquavilla, all of which will enhance a feeling of deep relaxation and wellbeing. The swimming pool is raised, with a stunning view over Montemerano, and a hydromassage area sits amongst the luscious greenery of the gardens. You can also take advantage of the luxurious Saturnia Spa’s indulgent offering, with Turkish baths, a thermal pool and a range of indulgent treatments. Back at the villa, there is a tennis court, and guided excursions can be arranged in the quaint countryside, so you can soak up the rich and fascinating Italian culture.
Set in the centre of the picturesque park, La Limonaia restaurant offers colourful and creative Mediterranean food, paired with an abundance of soul. Natural and locally sourced ingredients are at the heart of La Limonaia, with vegetables coming directly from the villa’s garden, making traditional Tuscan dishes packed full of home-grown flavour. Acquaviva’s wine cellar is also part of its delightful charm, and you can sample the selection with a sophisticated wine tasting class. If you’d also like to learn about authentic Italian fare, Tuscan cooking classes are on offer, so you can recreate the magic of Tuscan cuisine long after you’ve returned back home.
