Love at First Sight
Since the first Waldorf Astoria opened in New York in 1893, the name has been synonymous with opulent luxury and superb service, and the Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah is no exception. The hotel is set in a beautiful six-storey building that curves along a 200-metre private beach with soft white sands. The 251 rooms and 68 suites are decorated in sophisticated tones of ivory, sand and turquoise and are furnished with chic contemporary pieces. What to Do
Awarded Best Luxury Destination Spa at the World Luxury Spa Awards 2015, the Waldorf Astoria Spa includes two private couple's treatment rooms and has whirlpool hot tubs, saunas and steam rooms. The spa offers body and facial treatments, massages, and hand and foot therapies. There's a fully equipped fitness centre with both group classes and personal trainer sessions on offer, and a pro is available on request at the hotel's tennis court to help you up your game. The Water Sports Centre offers a range of activities including snorkelling, parasailing, water skiing and paddle boarding.
The Food of Love
Social by Heinz Beck (Mr Beck has three Michelin stars) offers contemporary Italian dining and you can expect dishes like duck foie gras with apple, almonds and amaretti, grilled lamb rack medallion with green olive crust, and chocolate sable with strawberry sorbet. Lao offers South East Asian cuisine, while Mezzerie offers all-day dining. Palm Avenue overlooks the main pool and serves light meals, and Peacock Alley is set by the hotel's central gardens and majors in elegant high teas overlooking the magnificent Palm Jumeirah
