Package Policies

1. Booking and Confirmation:

   • A 30% deposit is required to secure the booking for your wedding package.
   • The remaining balance must be paid at least 60 days before the wedding date.
   • Bookings made within 60 days of the event require full payment at the time of booking.

2. Cancellation Policy:

   • Cancellations made more than 90 days before the wedding date will receive a full refund minus a processing fee.
   • Cancellations made between 60 and 90 days before the wedding date will result in a 50% refund.
   • Cancellations made less than 60 days before the wedding date are non-refundable.
   • Changes to the wedding date are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.

3. Children Policy:

   • Children under the age of 5 stay free of charge when sharing a room with parents.
   • Special discounts are available for children between the ages of 5-12.

4. Guest Count:

   • The wedding package is priced for up to 30 guests. Additional guests will incur an extra charge per person.
   • Final guest count must be confirmed 30 days before the wedding date.

5. Weather Policy:

   • In case of adverse weather conditions on the wedding day, the ceremony will be moved to an indoor or sheltered location at the resort.
   • The resort will make every effort to ensure the wedding runs smoothly, but no refunds will be given for weather-related changes.

6. Inclusions:

   • The wedding package includes all listed activities, meals, accommodations, and services as described in the itinerary.
   • Additional requests such as special decorations, entertainment, or personalized events will be quoted separately.
   • Any unutilized services from the package, such as spa treatments or activities, are non- refundable and non-transferable.

7. Catering:

   • The resort offers a variety of beverage packages for weddings, including a selection of premium spirits, wines, and cocktails.
   • External food and drinks are not allowed unless agreed upon with the resort management beforehand.

8. Legal Requirements:

   • The couple must ensure they meet all legal requirements for getting married in Kenya, including obtaining a marriage license and providing any necessary documentation.
   • Swahili Beach Resort will assist with facilitating the legal process, but it is the couple’s responsibility to ensure compliance with Kenya’s marriage laws.

9. Additional Services:

   • Extra services such as live entertainment, photographer/videographer, and additional floral arrangements can be arranged at an extra cost.
   • Any services not listed in the package itinerary will be quoted separately.
