RESALTO REGULATIONS Children must wear life jackets throughout the journey. Throwing paper in the toilet is prohibited. Do not transport bulky luggage and do not block the passageways of the boat with it. Luggage can be stored in the boat’s lockers. Do not hang from the railings while the boat is moving. Do not dive while the boat’s engine is running. The horn signals boarding. In case of unexpected strong winds or rough seas, the captain may alter the stops and itinerary for the safety of all. Do not litter or throw garbage into the sea. The boat has trash bins, recycling bins, and ashtrays. Recycling policy is enforced. Sometimes the sea proves unpredictable, and during the journey, there may be some unexpected waves not predicted by any meteorological service. Therefore, it would be wise to first consider your personal tolerance for fear or seasickness to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. The crew cannot tailor the journey for any individual unless the captain deems it a matter of safety or urgency. Do not stand up before the boat docks at the port or before it anchors in the bay. Do not leave your seat until the crew has first lowered the boarding ladder into the sea or the ramp onto the pier. Be cautious during swimming, pay attention to where you swim, dive, and jump from. Any accidents outside the boat do not involve the captain’s responsibility. The cancellation policy of a cruise by the captain due to weather phenomena is stricter than that of the port authorities. It is based on the crew’s knowledge of the marine phenomena of the area in relation to the current weather issued by the Hellenic National Meteorological Service and other weather forecasts. The final decision to cancel the conduct of a cruise is made in the morning either after the Port Authority has issued a ban based on the report issued by the Hellenic National Meteorological Service at 6 in the morning for the morning route and at 12 noon for the afternoon route, or after the captain decides that the route may tire the passengers due to rough seas even if the port authority has granted permission for departure. Boarding begins half an hour before departure and ends ten minutes before departure. The last ten minutes are dedicated to departure preparation and sorting out bureaucratic matters with the authorities. In case of danger, follow the crew’s instructions and do not panic. In case of contact with a wild animal, do not approach or disturb it.
