The romantic adventure starts in Johannesburg when you board the domestic flight to the Victoria Falls. Our representatives greet you at the airport and transfer you by road and boat to Kandahar Island.

Before flowing over the Victoria Falls, there is a spectacular section of the Zambezi River with many islands and channels, crystal clear waters and sandy beaches. It teams with birds and wildlife. It is here that our island is located. With a private island all to itself, the Treehouse Suites boasts seclusion like no other. On a lush and bountiful island on the banks of the Zambezi river, teeming with wildlife, this is an island paradise waiting to be explored. The Zambezi National Park is located upstream from Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, stretching for some 50 kilometres along the Zambezi river. This beautiful gem of a National Park is little known, despite its proximity to the world famous Victoria Falls. The river margins support a lush forest fringe, offering shade and shelter for bushbuck and duiker, whilst waterbury trees overhang the river and provide perches for the kingfishers, herons and fish eagles. The park is home to a variety of larger mammal species including lion, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and several antelope species such as eland, kudu, waterbuck, impala and Zimbabwe’s national animal, the majestic sable. Along the river, pods of hippo wallow during the day, emerging from their watery retreats at night to graze along the riverbanks.

For some, leaping off a bridge and hurtling through the air at terrifying speeds is an exhilarating must-do in order to shake off built-up stress caused by working long hours. Others find their Zen via gentler means – such as spa treatments, scenic walks, communing with nature and/or relaxing cruises whilst sipping cocktails at sundown.
