Love at First Sight
Maipo Valley Wine Tours raises its glass to you and invites you on a journey of discovery. You'll be swept off your feet by the rustic charm of the vineyards as you say goodbye to city stresses and embrace the idyllic countryside, living the traditions, culture and values of the Chilean country residents as you learn all about the legacy of winemaking. In addition, you can learn about making honey, chocolates, butter and liquors, with all the experiences designed to be enjoyed in their purest form, savouring The Good Life underneath the hot Chilean sun.
Romance
A dreamlike destination, Maipo Valley attracts both couples for romantic retreats, and bigger parties of family and friends who are celebrating milestone birthdays, cherished anniversaries, or a renewal of wedding vows. You'll find romance floating through the balmy breeze at every turn, the old farmhouses and luscious land sweetly setting the scene for your love story. Try a traditional way to see the sights, with a classic horse-drawn carriage taking you on a trip around the town, or take a dip in the swimming pool, or sunbathe by in the gorgeous gardens that surround the sparkling waters.
Your Stay
Nestled in the natural surroundings, each of the Maipo Valley properties has its own unique style, but embodies the same sense of rustic romance. You have the Country House, the Estate House, and the Countryside Villa, all cocooned by peace and tranquillity. Features include wood-burning fires, private pools, elegant outdoor eating areas with clay ovens, and orchards in the picturesque grounds; bearing fruit trees such as avocado, orange, lemon, apple, pear, almond and morello cherry. Each property is tastefully decorated and can accommodate various sized parties, whether you're looking for an intimate escape for two or somewhere for a grand celebration.
What to Do
You'll never be short of things to do at Maipo Valley, with a variety of Full Day and Half Day Tours, that will take you on a sensory journey, as it showcases the sensational scenery whilst you savour the sweet pleasures of learning about and sampling the region's rich culinary history and culture. Take a trekking tour (just a mere hour an a half), as the view at the end is breathtaking; overlooking the Maijo River, Tarapaca Vineyard, and the native forests that surround the vibrant green fields. There is also a serene and beautiful lake, where you can bask in the romance of a bygone era, with a romantic rowing boat and a perfectly prepared picnic.
The Food of Love
Of course, you have a wealth of wonderful wine tours and culinary experiences on offer throughout the days, but for your evening meal you have Restaurante Zinfandel. A warm and friendly place, where the tables are shaded by walnut and fig trees, the menu is a merry mix of Mediterranean dishes, including classics such as panzotti ricotta and spinach and traditional camarones. There is also a spectacular showroom-come—shop, where you can buy wine, olive oil and other locally made produce, so you can take a taste of Maipo Valley back home with you.
