This 13‑day luxury honeymoon blends KL’s heritage and rooftop‑pool downtime with Borneo’s headline wildlife and island ease. Start with two nights at Hotel Stripes in the historic Jalan Kamunting quarter, then fly to Sandakan for close‑to‑nature days at Sepilok with the Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, the Sun Bear Conservation Centre and the RDC’s canopy walkway. Cruise the Kinabatangan from Abai to Sukau at golden hour, watching for proboscis monkeys, hornbills and, with luck, pygmy elephants. Go deeper at Tabin Wildlife Reserve - timber bungalows, a trek to the Lipad mud volcano and Lipad Waterfall, and night safaris for tarsiers and civets.
