Rose Hall Great House & Garden Tour
Open Daily From 9:15am to 5:15pm Immerse yourself if the heritage of the island as your expert guide shares the story of this colonial ruin restored to its former majesty in the 1960’s. Learn about the lifestyle of the European bourgeoisie in the isles of the Caribbean in the Eighteenth Century. The tale of the Annee Palmer, the famed White Witch of Rose Hall is sure to delight. Beautiful tropical gardens and personalities will colour your experience with fun along the way!
Rose Hall Great House Haunted Night Tour
Open Daily From 6:30pm to 9:00pm At night, Rose Hall is not for the faint of heart! Experience the Rose Hall Plantation’s dramatic past as you venture into the world of the White Witch as she roams this Eighteenth Century sugar plantation seeking the love and fortune that first lured her here. But be warned Legend upholds that no one who crossed her survived to tell the tale!! This promises to be the encounter of a lifetime.
Cinnamon Hill Great House Tour
Open daily from 10:00am to 3:00 pm Cinnamon Hill has a very historic and celebrated past. The house was built in 1734 by Edward Barrett, ancestor of Elizabeth Barrett-Browning.
It was subsequently owned by George Robertson, Joseph Shore, then the Henderson family, until it was purchased by John Rollins in the 1960s. Johnny Cash bought the house from Rollins in the early 70s and he and his estate owned it until the Rollins family -Michele Rollins- bought it back in 2012 after the Cashes passed away.
Rumor has it there are ghosts living in the house, with many stories told from the Cash’s and other visitors about common sightings. But the real intrigue is the Cinnamon Hill Great House itself. The estate features island architecture, furnishings, native flowers, iridescent hummingbirds and still captures the spirit of the man in black. The interior is frozen in time with family photos, a crocodile Johnny helped catch and even a pair of Johnny’s well-worn work boots.
