Our wood fired hot tubs can be added, for the duration of your stay, and are a 2 night stay minimum.
The wood fired hot tub for the woodland cabins takes around 2.5 hours to heat, and for our Shepherds Hut 1.5 hours to heat. Its a great time to spend some time together and enjoying the outside space. If we are around we are happy to show you the ropes, please do just ask.
We supply enough wood to heat the hot tub each day. Including kindling and firelighters.
Please note the hot tub at Robins Retreat comes with a paddle rather than bubbles to make your stay more serene.
We provide instructions and full terms and conditions for hot tub stays.
We provide up to two medium adult robes for your use with hot tub stays.
The stove door will be very hot during use – do not touch it. The flue and flue elbow will also be very hot, as can the top vent inside the tub be – ensure supervision of children and dogs. • No refunds will be provided in the case of inclement weather or other factors beyond the owners control. • The main thing for hot tub safety and enjoyment is to use common sense. • The hot tub is for the sole use of occupants in the Woodland Cabin accommodation (not the Shepherds Huts), no guests without prior arrangement. • The use of the hot tub is entirely at the risk of the booking party. We are not liable for any injuries, damages, etc and persons use at their own risk. • To ensure clean water, please shower before and keep the lid on when not in use. • Parents must always supervise children in and around the hot tubs. An adult must always accompany children (under 18 years) and enforce the rules of safety. • Children under 5 are prohibited from using the tub as high temperatures can affect little ones much quicker than adults. • For children under 16 the temperature should be a maximum of 36 degrees C and they shouldn’t stay in the tub for longer than 10 minutes at a time. • It is not recommended for pregnant women to use the hot tub. • Those with a health condition should consult with a doctor before using the hot tub and have a cooler temperature (36 degrees C) and time in the hot tub shorter. • Maximum temperature for adults without a health condition should be 40 degrees C. • Never use the hot tub alone and no pets in the hot tub please. • If anyone begins to feel unwell be sure to leave the hot tub immediately. • People with skin, ear, or other body infections, open sores or wounds should not use the hot tub due to the possibility of spreading infection or irritating the existing condition. • Do not immerse your head in the hot tub water. • Never use the hot tub whilst taking or after using drugs of any kind. Some prescribed drugs may cause sleepiness or raise / lower the blood pressure. • A relaxing glass of wine is fine but do not drink to intoxication. The heat of the hot tub can speed up the effects of alcohol. • We recommend drinking plenty of water whilst using the hot tub. • Do not add anything to the tub or use floating candles as the wax marks the wood. • Do not use electrical appliances in or by the hot tub. • Avoid using the hot tub immediately after a heavy meal. • Please shower before use and remove fake tan. • Please be careful with jewellery scratching the hot tub. • Do not add anything to the water, including bubble bath or other detergents as the water helps our trees and wildflowers to grow and these may damage the tub. • Take care when entering or leaving the hot tub as leg muscles may be relaxed and feel unsteady. The tub and decking can be slippery when wet. • Please make sure the cover is left on and secure after use. This will also help to keep the water clean. Please place the lid on the sleepers when not in use and not directly on the floor. • We ensure the water is changed between guests and keep chemical usage to an absolute minimum. • Please do not take any breakable glasses, cups into the hot tub. Plastic glasses are provided.
