Our Woodland Cabins are situated high on a hill next to the gorgeous village of Alfriston. Located within the South Downs National Park and on the South Downs Way, set in small private woods. With the ability to cook outside using our firepits, relax under the stars in a hammock, create a den, create your own treasure hunt and look for different types of wildlife, there is something for everyone!
Our Shepherds Huts, Robins Retreat, Woodpecker Hill and Owls Nest have views that won’t disappoint, with the ability to cook outside and spend time outdoors, a real treat!
Why not treat yourself to a wood fired hot tub stay- this option is available for stays in Foxes Hollow, Badgers Rest, and Robins Retreat of two nights or more. The hot tub at Robins Retreat has a paddle rather than bubbles to make your stay more serene.
Our properties are perfect for that romantic time away, time to spend together in nature with beautiful walks on your doorstep. Located within the South Downs National Park means there is an array of picture postcard places to visit, you can also wander into the village for a special lunch or dinner, or visit our nearby vineyard for a perfect addition to your stay.
Why not choose the firepit and toast marshmallows looking up at the night skies. We are in a dark skies area so a clear night has a beauty all of its own.
Add a wood fired hot tub for your stay of two nights or more, time to be together and relax, perfect!
We do have a number of extras you may add to your stay for that extra special touch (subject to additional fees and availability). - The wood fired hot tub for stays of 2 nights or more - Outdoor firepit - Apple juice from our own orchard - Grocery items - Drinks, including local wines and beers

There are plenty of open spaces around, with walking, maybe lunch/dinner in the village (although currently I think you need to book ahead). We love The George for pub food, or walk along the river to Litlingtons Plough & Harrow, there is plenty of choice, and a few really nice restaurants such as Poco for some authentic Italian dishes, Wingrove House and more. The village is within easy walking distance too.
Badgers Tea House and garden @ The Old Village Bakery is always worth a visit. Fantastic freshly baked homemade cakes and also a great place for breakfast.
If books and reading are your thing a visit to Much Ado Books is a must, a real gem in the village.
For a real treat why not book a wine tasting/tour at our local vineyard – Rathfinny Wine Estate, who have a number of different options to suit your needs. Or LongMan Brewery in Litlington also do tours and have a tap room.
Pop along to Cuckmere Haven if you get a chance, its beautiful, you will recognise the Seven Sisters cliffs. We are also less than 10 minutes drive from Seaford Beach.
