Robins Retreat - Shepherds Hut in the apple orchard

Located in our apple orchard overlooking the gorgeous River Cuckmere are our oak Shepherds Huts, Robins Retreat, Woodpecker Hill and Owls Nest.

Perfect for those romantic nights away or simply detox with the peaceful sound of birds and the wind through the trees. Robins Retreat has the added option of the wood fired hot tub for stays of two nights or more for an additional fee.

They are open all year round, and both sleep 2 adults (plus 1 dog) and has heating, a flushing toilet, hot shower, a fully equipped kitchen and a view that won’t disappoint. The king size bed folds away easily to allow more space should you need it.

Reconnect around the firepit and take some time to look up at the stars, on a clear night they are truly amazing.

Experience local wildlife outside your window, inhale the fresh country air and be amazed at the surrounding countryside and the beach is not far too.

Let your imagination and sense of adventure go wild!

If you’re lucky, you may even see a fox, robin, heron, geese, woodpeckers, butterflies and swans to name a few. Or hear the twit twoo of an owl. Also look out for the amazing Spitfire airplane flying across the river from time to time.
