What to Do
BEQUIA THE QUINTESSENTIAL CARIBBEAN ISLAND Bequia (pronounced beck-way) is the second largest of 32 islands that make up St. Vincent & the Grenadines. It is located just South of St. Lucia, North of Grenada and West of Barbados. Bequia is blessed with average temperatures between 26°C (79°F) and 30°C (86°F) throughout the year. The “dry” season from January to early May brings clear sunny skies, good sailing breezes, low humidity and minimal rainfall. The warmer, summer months of May to November are a welcome mixture of sunshine and light breezes, with the occasional cooling shower we like to call “liquid sunshine”. Bequia is far south in the hurricane belt, and although tropical storms will occasionally approach in peak months of August and October, most disturbances pass to the north or dissipate before they reach the Grenadine chain. Although Bequia might be considered small (at just 7 square miles), it is packed with plenty of character and numerous excursions to be enjoyed by everyone. Stunning beaches dotting the shoreline and a slow pace of life help to create an environment and experience you’ll never forget.
