A dry hire of our Conservatory & Conservatory Terrace offers a blank canvas, giving you the freedom to choose your own caterers, decorators, and suppliers. It’s an ideal choice for couples who want a personalised celebration while keeping costs under control.

Catering is often the most expensive part of a wedding. Many venues charge over £100 per guest for a wedding banquet, evening buffet, and drinks package. Fully serviced wedding prices continue to rise as venues cover increasing taxes and operating costs. With employer’s National Insurance at 15%, VAT at 20%, payroll taxes, pension contributions, higher minimum wage, and more, around 80% of the cost of a traditional wedding banquet goes towards taxes and wages.

By choosing self-catering, you can make significant savings. Dry hire eliminates these extra costs for both you and the venue.

Package Includes

There are two options for Conservatory Dry Hire:

(A) Dry Hire of Conservatory & Conservatory Terrace at Craig y Nos Castle Only: £1,390 (2026)

You supply all food and beverages. You do all decor work and 'changeovers of the room'. We provide tables, chairs, table cloths, and plates and cutlery*.

(B) Optional Extra: Hire your own private Bar (within Conservatory); stock with your own bottles, spirits and wines: £500. A licensed bar person can be provided at an additional cost.

Package Policies

• Plates and cutlery must be returned in the same condition as provided — washed and cleaned. A dishwashing service is available at an additional cost. All waste should be correctly sorted into recycling bins, and the Conservatory must be left clean and tidy, as it was supplied.

Dry hire does not include access to the castle’s kitchen facilities; catering must be provided by outside suppliers operating from a catering van.
