Love at First Sight

The country house from 1481 is located in a large former silkworm farm in the heart of a small valley, surrounded by the tranquility of the woods at the border of the Cevennes Mountains in the middle of the Mediterranean culture. In renovating this old farmhouse dating from 1481, we sought above all to preserve the authenticity, simplicity and tranquility of the place, in order to make it a true haven of peace. The calm, simplicity and authenticity offers a unique resourcing and romantic pause. The Natural Parc of the Cevennes, the small mediterranean villages as a fantastic natural beach close to Grau du Roi is not far. Our candlelight dinners in summertime outside on a shady patio or in wintertime around the fireplace inside are an opportunity to taste modern creative cooking valuing the fresh regional products.

Romance

The French Mediterranean at the border of the Cevennes Mountains is in itself a romantic escape, pittoresque small hidden villages, traditional markets and the roman influences all present, as a rhythm of life a bit forgotten. la vieille maison is hidden in a small valley and the candlelight dinners offer the romantic moment in the evening.

Your Stay

we have 3 very different suites for the night, with their styles and bathrooms, a nice roof terrace with view on the mountains, a living and dining space as a shady patio for summertime. Breakfast is included in the reservation. The buffet offers a wide choice, including homemade yogurt, several varieties of bread with different cereals, many jams and fruits (pastries available on request). In terms of drinks, the offer is also abundant: orange juice, coffee (roasted in a small local roastery and prepared in an Italian coffee maker), high-quality green or black tea, hot chocolate (with real chocolate). Rich and complete, our breakfast buffet will give you strength and well-being for the whole day. You can choose one of our diners for the evening.

The region welcomes you warmly with a variety of exciting activities and fascinating tourist sites to explore. To discover the wealth of the region between the Cévennes natural park, the gorges of the Hérault, Gardon, the Ardèche or the Tarn to the Camargue, the nearby cities such as Nîmes, Uzès, Aigues-Mortes, Montpellier, Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, Avignon, Arles and the beaches of the Mediterranean. You can also enjoy festivals well established in the Region around the Cévenol Piemont.

Gourmet Stop Our Gourmet Stop offers romantic candlelit dinners aside our middle-aged chimney, the kitchen aim to highlight creative and refined cuisine. For this, recipes prepared with love are offered to you. They give pride of place to the mixture of flavors, audacity and inventiveness. On this occasion, you will be able to have surprising culinary experiences with traditional Mediterranean influences but also imbued with the cultural riches from various continents, with varied and tasty seasonings.
