Love at First Sight
We - Carlo, Susanna with our daughters Giulia & Valeria - own a small Brunello wine company. We have been in the winemaking industry since the 80ies, our 10 hectares of vines are nicely spread in the hilly terroir of Castelnuovo dell'Abate.
In the 90ies, we rebuilt this Mill from its ruins. This place is immersed in the nature and filled with history which is traced back to the XIII century.
Romance
Upon request, we offer tailored experiences to our Villa guests.
Cellar tour with tasting of our wines paired with typical Tuscan dishes or you can "take advantage" of our private chef for dinner, cooking class or both. All this, directly at the Villa and always paired with our wines.
Your Stay
The Villa is close to our wine company, and close to the famous Sant’Antimo Abbey, 15 minutes from Montalcino. These three stages Villa is private property, fenced and accessible by car. We always recommend our clients to drive appropriate cars with higher clearance, if possible, as the Villa is in the countryside.
GROUND FLOOR: There is a modern style kitchen with all the amenities: dishwasher, oven, microwave oven, a pantry with all you need to cook in terms of utensils. Close to it, a big living room with a fireplace, a big table that can host up to 10 people and 2 nice and comfy sofas + an armchair. Always on the 1st floor, there is the laundry with everything you need to do your washing – no dryer – and a bathroom with shower.
1st FLOOR: Here there is the second big living room with fireplace, sofas, a bookshelf with books gifted by our lovely clients, TV corner and satellite. On the first floor, there are also a master bedroom (king size bed) with a bathroom inside (this room is not equipped with A/C as it is surrounded by thick walls – the temperature is perfectly fresh during summer). There is another spare bathroom facing the living room and then there is another king side bedroom with A/C.
2nd FLOOR: There are other two bedrooms: one with a king size bed with A/C and the other with twin beds with A/C.
OUTSIDE: We have a lovely swimming pool 9mtx7mt – 1.50mt deep which is furnished with pool umbrellas and pool loungers. We kidly ask you to keep the umbrellas closed when not using the swimming pool. There is also the possibility of having a nice BBQ, wood will be provided upon your arrival, but you need to fire it in the old-fashioned way, there is nothing electrical about it – old world, old habits. We have also 2 great patios, where you can chill with a nice glass of our wine during the cozy summer nights.
