Experience a Wedding You'll Never Forget: Our Magical Day at Crystals in St. Lucia
It's hard to believe that it's been 12 years since we tied the knot in a treehouse overlooking the stunning Pitons and Caribbean sea.
From the moment we arrived at Crystals we felt special.
Crystals does not do conventional, and their weddings are no exception.
The style is rustic opulence and the hospitality is second to none.
Image - We (eventually) found our perfect wedding venue in Crystals St Lucia - an intimate paradise created by the uniquely brilliant husband and wife team, Monica & Martin.
As a guest at Crystals, you become a member of Monica’s extended family (so much so that we actually invited other guests to our ceremony).
We chose to hold our wedding on the decking of the Papaya against the breath-taking backdrop of the Pitons mountains.
Whilst not outwardly religious, the wedding sermon was romantic, profound and relevantly spiced with West Indian sensibilities.
We and our guests were genuinely touched by the words that were spoken and they captured the true affinity of marriage – something we will take with us through the rest of our married lives.
Our reception could only be described as magical - a mini Diwali of candles and solar powered fairy lights.
The tables were dressed with the most beautiful fabrics and the locally produced menu was freshly prepared to our specification, along with champagne, wine and Martin’s (far too good) rum punch!!
One of the highlights has to be the eight-strong band of local musical veterans who incited us to dance and sing the night away to all the classic wedding songs we love.
We’ll never forget our first dance to Eric Clapton!
Weddings should always be special and unique... and this is something a wedding at Crystals guarantees.
